The Canadian Healthcare App You Wish You Had
3 mins
Katie Campbell

Take a minute to think about the last time you went to a walk-in clinic, the last time you had a sore throat but couldn’t get a doctors appointment, and for you ladies out there, the last time you had a UTI. Although it’s a beautiful (and free) thing, the Canadian Health Care system has its problems and there’s no denying it. We’ve all sat in a doctor’s office for an excessive amount of time before being seen. Sometimes this wait, or worse this lack of doctor appointment availabilities, causes Canadians to unnecessarily suffer in pain from what could otherwise be quickly treated.

Maple is a 24/7 secure online Canadian doctor platform. They specialize in identifying and treating non-emergent illnesses such as earaches, UTI’s, colds, flu, mental health, and many others, including ERECTILE DYSFUNCTIONS LADIES AND GENTS.

This application allows Canadians to access our healthcare system on their time without experiencing life interruptions like taking time off work. This application works in four easy steps:

  1. Download the application (note there is a fee of $30)
  2. Enter your identification and click the “See the doctor” button where you will be able to describe your symptoms
  3. The application will connect you to a doctor who will allow you to chose between a text, video, or audio consultation using the app
  4. Finally, receive your diagnoses and if necessary, a prescription that can be electronically sent your local pharmacy

Our Experience

Maple is APPrentice’s favourite go-to health treatment choice. We gurus know how hard it can be to get a doctors appointment at university and how difficult it is to fit those appointments into your busy schedule. Maple doctors are able to provide you with medical advice, prescriptions, medical notes that can be transferred to your family doctor, labs, and referrals. These licensed doctors focus on acute care, chronic care, mental health through psychotherapists and counselors, and family planning advice. They are non-judgmental, confidential, and an efficient use of your time! Your days of painfully waiting to get a UTI prescription are over.

Virtual medicine is not a new phenomenon. Maple has featured in CBC, The Globe and Mail, CP24, CTV News, and many others. It allows patients to save valuable time, doctors to fill last-minute vacancies, and for the Canadian Government to save on health care.
